As an example, activating 100 existing customer systems at £10 per activation rather than the standard £100 gives you a ready-made conversation with customers you have already served.

  • Sentinel™ is currently integrated with FoxESS inverters. Integration with Solis, Solax, Growatt and SigEnergy is in progress and coming soon. If your installations are predominantly on one of these brands, get in touch now and you'll be among the first to access those integrations as they go live.

  • No. Your installation process doesn't change at all. Sentinel™ connects to the inverter via its existing data interface: no additional hardware, no extra cabling, no change to your commissioning workflow. Activation is handled digitally after the system is live.

  • Sentinel™ monitors system performance 24/7 across generation, battery cycles, export behaviour, grid import and system health. When anomalies are detected, our team investigates and, in many cases, can resolve the issue remotely through configuration changes or inverter commands, without an engineer attending site. Where a visit is needed, you'll be alerted with diagnostic information already in hand, making the call-out faster and more efficient.

  • Sentinel™ participates in energy flexibility markets on behalf of customers, using the battery to respond to grid signals during peak demand periods. This generates income that goes directly to the customer, net of Joulen's platform fee. It's a revenue stream that a standard solar and battery system simply cannot access without intelligent management software. Trading revenues are not guaranteed but represent genuine additional upside in every customer's financial case.

  • Yes, and this is one of the most valuable aspects of the partner programme. Any existing customer with a compatible inverter and battery can be activated on Sentinel™. Through our bulk activation credit programme, partner installers can activate existing customers at significantly reduced cost; from as little as £10 per system at volume. It's a ready-made reason to re-engage your installed base with a compelling, proven upgrade.

  • We make this straightforward. Partner installers have access to the Sentinel™ Financial Impact Report, a branded output that shows a customer's specific system alongside a clear comparison of returns with and without Sentinel™. It covers annual savings, export income, payback period and 25-year cumulative returns. The numbers speak for themselves, and the report gives you a professional, credible leave-behind for every proposal conversation.

  • Becoming a Sentinel™ partner involves a straightforward agreement that covers activation pricing, support terms, and how the ongoing customer relationship works. There's no exclusivity requirement and no minimum volume to get started, though volume pricing on activation credits rewards installers who commit to rolling Sentinel™ out across their portfolio. We'll walk through everything on your discovery call.

  • Sentinel™ handles all platform-related support, including monitoring queries, performance questions, billing and anything related to the Sentinel software. You remain your customer's point of contact for hardware and physical installation matters. In practice, because Sentinel resolves most issues remotely, the volume of customer queries you receive post-installation reduces significantly.

  • No. Sentinel™ is being launched for both residential and commercial customers. If you install for businesses, schools or larger properties as well as homes, the financial case is often even more compelling at commercial scale. Tell us about your portfolio mix and we'll tailor the conversation accordingly.

  • Customers can cancel at any time. If they do, the system continues as a standard solar and battery installation; monitoring and optimisation features simply switch off. In practice, we expect very low churn. Once customers see the financial difference Sentinel™ makes, the £199/year subscription is very easy to justify. The annual benefit Sentinel™ delivers is typically more than 6 times the subscription cost.
